Wild Air is a collaboration project involving Hannes Storm of Storm Wines. The fruit comes from a small 0.5-hectare plot of 20-year-old Sauvignon Blanc vines planted in the Ignis vineyard, in the Upper Hemel-en-Aarde Valley. Inspired by the more restrained, textural styles of Sauvignon Blanc, it is barrel-fermented in old 228-litre French oak barrels and matured for 6 months on lees. This is an outstanding wine with a tiny production.
