Verite Le Desir 2006

Vérité is a highly regarded winery located in Sonoma County, founded by Jess Jackson and Barbara Banke in collaboration with French winemaker Pierre Seillan. ‘Le Désir’ is another flagship wine from Vérité, inspired by the great wines of Saint-Émilion in Bordeaux. It is primarily made from Cabernet Franc, with smaller proportions of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. The 2006 vintage in Sonoma County was characterized by a relatively cool growing season, with moderate temperatures and a long, even ripening period. These conditions allowed the grapes to develop complexity and depth of flavor while retaining good acidity.
