Owned and operated by the illustrious Casteja family, Château Trotte Vieille is one of the oldest and most respected estates in Saint-Émilion and has some of the oldest vines of Bordeaux. 2015 was widely regarded as an excellent Right Bank vintage and this is a beautifully deep, silky textured and sumptuous release composed of equal parts Merlot and Cabernet Franc with a tiny quantity of Cabernet Sauvignon. Though seriously attractive in its youth, it will be superb after further time in the cellar.
