The 2016 Château Trotanoy is an excellent release and is perhaps even better than its superb 2015 predecessor. Composed of 95% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc, it is similarly full-bodied, opulent and rich in fruit, yet dials the savoury complexity and mineral depth up another notch. Though firmly structured at this stage, it is effortlessly balanced and incredibly long, indicating this will have exceptional staying power.
