Alexandre de Almeida, founder of the oldest hotel chain in Portugal, began producing Bussaco Wines at the famous Bussaco Palace Hotel in 1917, adopting the concept of linking luxury hotels to a winery with their own local wine. The red is a unique blend of Touriga Nacional from Dão and Baga from Bairrada, aged in French oak barrels for 12 months. The 2011 is an exceptional release exhibiting impeccable balance of fruit intensity, aromatic complexity, power and elegance. A classic in the making that will happily cellar for many years.
