Quinta do Crasto is one of the finest producers of red wine in the Douro Valley and this is a monovarietal wine made from Tinta Roriz (aka Tempranillo) that is only released in vintages considered exceptional. The 2013 release is a beautiful wine of considerable depth and power yet unwavering elegance and restraint. If consuming soon, then decanting is very strongly recommended, otherwise have no fear cellaring this for another 10-15 years.
