Testalonga El Bandito The Dark Side 2022

Testalonga is a boutique winery located in the Swartland region of South Africa, founded by winemaker Craig Hawkins and his wife, Carla. ‘The Dark Side’ is made from 100% Syrah, sourced from a single vineyard with low-yielding, old vines. The grapes are hand-harvested and go through a careful selection process to ensure only the highest quality fruit is used in the process. The winemaking involves spontaneous fermentation using wild yeasts, with little to no use of sulphites. The wine is aged in used oak barrels, which allows the fruit to shine through without being overshadowed by oak flavours.
