Terlano Rarita Pinot Bianco 2008

From the distinguished Cantina Terlano in Alto Adige comes this polished white wine, known and appreciated for its ageing potential. Pinot Bianco is the dominant grape variety, with the addition of Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. The wine has gone through a slow fermentation process at controlled temperatures in stainless steel tanks, then matured on the lees in wooden barrels for 12 months; further aging on the lees in steel tanks without filtering or fining for eleven years. The result is an unparalleled wine, with herbal notes of camomile and lemon balm, together with a hint of dried kaki and apricot.
