Situated in the wild and hilly eastern section of the Douro Valley, Quinta de Vargellas is widely regarded as one of the finest vineyards in the region and often provides the backbone to Taylor’s Vintage Ports. However, in particular vintages, Taylor’s release Quinta de Vargellas Vinha Velha as an extremely limited production single-Quinta Port made from five selected plots of old vines that average 80 to 120 years in age. Stylistically it is slightly different to the regular Vintage as it offers more precision, elegance and greater potential longevity.
