Sterling Vineyards was founded in 1964 by Sir Peter Newton in the Calistoga district of Napa Valley and specialises in Bordeaux-style red wines based on Cabernet Sauvignon. This cuvée was made using fruit grown in the Diamond Mountain AVA at an elevation of around 2,000ft. The volcanic soils and low-vigour vines are renowned for producing deeply coloured and intensely flavoured wines with full body and rich tannins.
