St Peray Roussanne Domaine du Tunnel 2016

Domaine du Tunnel was established in 1994 by Stéphane Robert and the wines he produces from his 10 hectares of vines are some of the highest quality and most exciting in the Northern Rhône. Though best known for his red wines, his whites are not to be underestimated and from the superb 2016 vintage comes this wonderful Roussanne from the town of Saint-Péray. Fermented and matured in oak it is a delightfully medium to full-bodied wine with lovely rounded texture, exhibiting wonderful notes of tropical fruits, citrus peel, white flower blossom and frangipane. This is an excellent food wine and would pair particularly well with grilled fish or scallops.
