This rare single malt was distilled in 1981, two years before St Magdalene shut down, and independently bottled in 1997 by Gordon & MacPhail, under their Connoisseurs Choice range. The nose is light and clear, featuring grassy notes, melon, pears, dry hay and some floral undertones. The palate is fairly punchy, bringing out fruity flavours such as peaches and lemons, followed by some nutmeg and ginger.
