St Joseph Rouge Domaine du Tunnel Magnum 2015

Domaine du Tunnel was established in 1994 by Stéphane Robert and the wines he produces from his 10 hectares of vines are some of the highest quality and most exciting in the Northern Rhône. He produces his Saint-Joseph from 100% Syrah sourced from vineyards in the communes of Tournon sur Rhône, Mauves and Glun, with vines that are on average 50 years of age. 2015 was an excellent vintage for the region and this is a sublime release, bursting with rich black fruits, dried violet flowers, peppery spice and smashed rocks. Full-bodied and incredibly intense on the palate, its natural amplitude and power is remarkably well balanced, and displays all of the components for a long, distinguished life ahead.
