Domaine Courbis St Joseph Les Royes 2021 is a full-bodied, single-vineyard Syrah red wine from the St-Joseph appellation of the Northern Rhône valley. Dominique and Laurent Courbis succeeded their father in the early 1990s and have firmly established themselves as one of the leading domaines in Saint-Joseph and Cornas by combining their long family experience with modern winemaking techniques. Les Royes is a steep amphitheatre-shaped vineyard in the most southerly part of Saint-Joseph, on the border of Cornas. The Courbis` 2021 from this plot displays sweet black fruit character, with notes of cherries and raspberries mingling with smoky, mineral complexity and ripe tannins.
