St Joseph Blanc Les Granilites Chapoutier 2015

Les Granilites is 100% Marsanne sourced from parcels of vines in the Saint-Joseph districts of Charnas, Tournon and Mauves. All the fruit is hand-harvested, fermented in 600-litre casks with natural yeasts and then aged for 8 months in a combination of stainless and demi-muids. On the nose it is bright and fresh, with notes of white fruits, citrus oils, white flowers and subtly toasty oak. On the palate it is rich and rounded, with excellent volume and concentration of fruit, but a wonderful mineral freshness. This is an exceptionally food friendly wine and would pair particularly well with rich fish dishes.
