Batch 8 of That Boutique-y Whisky Company`s excellent Springbank series. This edition is aged for 21 years before bottling and rested in Madeira casks for added complexity. The rancio notes from the Madeira cask jumps out on the nose along with a distint note of honeyed barley and the slightest whiff of oak char. The palate is antique oak and wild herbs with Springbank`s trademark waxiness in full effect. A dry finish rounds things off - another hit for TBWC!
