Sine Qua Non is one of the most famous cult wineries in the world and winemaker, Manfred Krankl, is celebrated for crafting tiny quantities of unique Rhône-inspired wines from exceptional vineyards across the Californian Central Coast. This is a wonderful sweet Roussanne produced in the classic vin de paille style by drying the grapes on straw mats. Produced from 100% estate-grown fruit, it is decadent and rich, exuding notes of fresh-cut citrus, lime marmalade, beeswax, butterscotch, vanilla and honey. Whilst intensely sweet with its 240g of residual sugar, there is ample acidity and texture to ensure excellent balance throughout, making this a superb wine to pair with intensely flavoured mature cheeses.
