In 1998, Michel Chapoutier and Ron Laughton (Jasper Hill) planted new vineyards on the Heathcote, Victoria, with Syrah cuttings taken from the hillside of Tain l’Hermitage in the Northern Rhone. The 2013 is deeply complex with aromas of red berries and spices. On the palate it is wonderfully elegant despite its innate power. Ideal to serve with lamb.
