Shafer Hillside Select Magnum 2012

Hillside Select is the flagship wine of iconic Napa Valley producer, Shafer Vineyards and is made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon sourced from 14 rugged vineyard blocks planted on an amphitheatre-shaped piece of land that surrounds the winery. The 2012 release is yet another brilliant release with incredibly rich and complex notes of cassis, blackberry, blueberry, scorched earth, cigar box and cedar. This is about as impressive as singular varietal Cabernet gets and it exhibits near perfect harmony of fruit intensity, ripeness of tannin, acidity and alcohol.
