Shafer Hillside Select 1984

Shafer Hillside Select 1984 is a full-bodied red wine produced from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes in the Napa Valley of California. Shafer`s flagship is one of the most lauded California wines, made entirely from Cabernet Sauvignon from Shafer`s hillside vineyards in the Stags Leap District. "If picked with higher acid and at a lower pH than later efforts, this wine still shows the ripeness that marked the warm 1984 vintage. It is less refined but richer and more fully stuffed than the bottlings after and before it, and it has not let go of its basic fruit.
