Saxum Vineyards focus on small scale production of Grenache, Syrah and Mataro based blends from the Willow Creek District of Paso Robles. The James Berry Vineyard is the estate vineyard and is located 10 miles from the Pacific Ocean with an average elevation of 1200ft. The 2014 vintage is a fascinating red blend of 42% Grenache, 24% Mourvèdre, 21% Syrah, 8% Counoise and 5%
Roussanne. With its rich cassis profile together with notes of liquorice, herbs and crushed flowers, this is a gloriously full-bodied red.
