Under the direction of Lalou Bize-Leroy, Domaine Leroy consists of 21 hectares of biodynamically cultivated vineyards across some of the most prized communes of Burgundy. Leroy’s cuvées from the Cote de Beaune often fly somewhat under the radar, but this is a superb wine from one of the more southerly Premier Cru climats in Savigny-les-Beane. Just 125 cases of the wonderful 1995 were produced and this is a powerful and full-bodied wine that should now be approaching its peak drinking phase.
