Christian Sauska is an entrepreneur who, having built a successful career in the USA, decided in 1999 to establish a winery in his homeland of Hungary. This is a wonderful young Tokaji that is aromatic, vibrantly fruity and highly concentrated. The bouquet is redolent of citrus, apricot jam and wild honey leading to a palate that is opulent yet remarkably fresh, with intense flavours of dried peach, fig, marmalade, honey and caramel. A delicious wine by itself but it is sensational with blue cheese.
