The flagship of Tenuta San Guido, Sassicaia is a truly iconic Italian wine. The 2012 release is a blend of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Cabernet Franc, aged in French oak barriques for 24 months. In the words of critic James Suckling, "Lots of lavender, minerals and black currants on the nose. Turns to black berries. Full body, ultra-refined tannins and an exquisite finish.
