After ageing for over 15 years, this Sassella Le Barbarine is ready to be enjoyed now, but can also be saved for a few more years. On the nose, it has an intense depth, with hints of hazelnut, liquorice and spices. Over the time spent in the bottle, the wine has mellowed, and softened tannins give way to a velvety mouthfeel. An ideal red to have with a ribeye steak or grilled pork chops.
