La Vigne Blanche is the entry-level Sancerre of illustrious 11th generation Sancerre producer, Domaine Henri Bourgeois. Sourced from younger vines of around 15-30 years of age on the chalk and limestone slops between Chavignol and Sancerre, it is aged in barrels for five months on the fine lees to give additional complexity and texture. This is an exceptionally easy-going but deeply flavourful Sauvignon Blanc fitting for almost any occasion. It is great to drink by itself as a refreshing summer aperitif, but it would also pair incredibly well with fresh shellfish.
