Rhys Horseshoe Vineyard Chardonnay Magnum 2014

Rhys Vineyards was founded in 2004 and in a remarkably short space of time has become a benchmark producer of compelling terroir driven Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Syrah from sustainably farmed vineyards in the Santa Cruz Mountains. Though only ½ mile from the Alpine Vineyard, Horseshoe is more sheltered and produces a more mineral, focused and tensile style of wine. The 2014 is a wonderful release with abundant notes of stone fruits, citrus oils, honeysuckle and liquidised rocks. Rich and layered, there is excellent mid-palate intensity and concludes with a lengthy, saline-tinged finish.
