Rhys Vineyards was founded in 2004 and in a remarkably short space of time has become a benchmark producer of compelling terroir driven Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Syrah from sustainably farmed vineyards in the Santa Cruz Mountains and Anderson Valley. The 2014 Bearwallow Vineyard Pinot Noir is glorious to smell, wafting from the glass with delicious notes of black cherry, wild strawberry, cloves and truffle. Set within medium-body and lifted by bright acidity, there is wonderful tensile energy and precision to this release.
