Rhys Vineyards was founded in 2004 and in a remarkably short space of time has become a benchmark producer of compelling terroir driven Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Syrah from sustainably farmed vineyards in the Santa Cruz Mountains. The Alpine Vineyard sits on a rocky perch looking out to the Pacific Ocean which is only 10 miles away and the Hillside Selection is produced from its steepest and lowest yielding section and is only released in optimal vintages. The 2013 is effortless, gorgeously textured Pinot Noir with wonderful notes of dark fruits, wild herbs and earth.
