Restless River Ava Marie Chardonnay 2020

Established in 2004, Restless River is a boutique winery nestled in the Upper Hemel-en-Aarde Valley region of South Africa. Its humble beginnings trace back to the garage of Craig and Anne Wessel, and over time, the operations expanded to a farm shed to accommodate increased production needs. Despite this growth, Restless River maintains its essence as a small-scale, truly artisanal estate. This Chardonnay comes from a single 2-hectare vineyard, planted in 1999 at 260m on granite and deep underlying clay. The wine was aged in 10% new oak, 10% amphora, 10% tank and 70% old oak.
