Though primarily known for the quality of their Zinfandel, Ravenswood Winery was also one of the first Californian producers to bottle singular varietal Merlot. Joel Peterson’s wines have a fabulous track record for aging and this 1992 is now perfect for drinking. Deeply imbued with sweet fruits and savoury herbal nuances, it is a voluptuously textured wine that would pair well with barbecued meats.
