Château Rauzan-Ségla is a Second Growth wine producer located in the Margaux appellation. The estate is now owned by a subsidiary of the Chanel Group and has benefitted from substantial investment. This release is from the 1988 vintage, a blend of 54% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot and 1% Cabernet Franc. It is a nicely textured wine, offering lovely notes of black currants, cigar box, damp earth and umami accents such as black truffle.
