Saint-Émilion estate Château Tertre Daugay was purchased by Domaine Clarence Dillon (of Haut-Brio and La Mission Haut-Brion) in 2011 and was reborn with a new name, Château Quintus. This is a charming and accessible wine from the underrated 2012 vintage. A blend of 89% Merlot and 11% Cabernet Franc, it is medium-bodied and superbly balanced, with notes of black plum, cherry, earth and spice.
