Quinta do Vesuvio is located in the heart of the Douro Superiore and has an outstanding reputation for producing exceptional wines stretching back to the 19th Century. 2018 was an excellent vintage and, following the equally superb 2016 and 2017, marked the highly unusual occasion of a third declaration in a row. A blend of 54% Touriga Nacional and 40% Touriga Franca, with a small portion of Alicante Bouschet, this will be best if left in the cellar for a few years but should flourish in decades to come. Drink 2028-2070.
