Built in 1716, Quinta do Vallado is one of the oldest and most famous estates in the Douro Valley. This wine is a field blend of various red varieties (mostly Tinta Roriz, Tinta Amarela, Touriga Franca and Tinta Barroca) sourced from old vines between 60 and 100 years of age. It is rich and full-bodied yet refined and silky, with alluring notes of ripe black fruits and subtle tobacco-laced savouriness. A superb value wine that will easily age for a decade or more.
