Quilceda Creek is one of the oldest family-owned and operated wineries in Washington State having been established by Alex Golitzin in 1978. The 2014 is another astonishing release of profoundly high quality. Full-bodied, multi-layered and effortlessly balanced, it offers wonderfully complex notes of crème de cassis, black cherry, raspberry liqueur, graphite, cocoa nib, griddled herbs and minerals. Though many releases have vied for perfection this is about as good as Washington State Cabernet gets.
