Puligny Montrachet Clavoillon Domaine Leflaive 2012

Domaine Leflaive Puligny-Montrachet Clavoillon 2012 is a medium- to full-bodied Burgundy white wine from the Clavoillon Premier Cru climat in the Puligny-Montrachet commune of the Côte de Beaune. Now led by Brice de la Morandière, Domaine Leflaive is one of the most influential estates in Puligny-Montrachet. The estate focuses almost entirely on white wines made from Chardonnay, including four Grand Cru and four Premier Cru expressions. This particular cuvée comes from Le Clavoillon, a Premier Cru vineyard in the centre of the Puligny-Montrachet appellation where Leflaive owns a 4.8-hectare plot. "Orange juice, peach and a hint of spice on the nose. Pure and focused, with lovely acidity and calcaire-driven minerality giving the middle palate a very taut quality.
