Puligny Montrachet Clavoillon Domaine Leflaive 2011

Now led by Brice de la Morandière, Domaine Leflaive is one of the most influential estates in Puligny-Montrachet. The estate focuses almost entirely on white wines made from Chardonnay, including four Grand Cru and four Premier Cru expressions. This particular cuvée comes from Le Clavoillon, a Premier Cru vineyard in the center of the Puligny-Montrachet appellation where Leflaive owns a 4.8-hectare plot. The 2011 vintage is in its prime now, revealing notes of straw, melon, jasmine, pepper and toasted sesame.
