Vines were originally planted on the Summit Ranch estate back in the 1950s, but it was not until 1991 that Jim and Carolyn Pride switched from selling their grapes to producing their own label wines. The 2004 is a decadent and full-bodied blend of 98% Cabernet Sauvignon and 2% Petit Verdot. Now with fully integrated tannins, this is silky and smooth, with deliciously opulent notes of mulberry, crème de cassis, cedar, exotic spices and pencil shavings.
