Porseleinberg is a small estate in Swartland owned by the Boekenhoutskloof, although run entirely independently by gifted winemaker, Callie Louw. The estate’s winemaking is as natural as possible using only natural yeasts and minimal intervention. The 2017 is an epically deep and dark Syrah with immensely grippy tannins and wonderful mineral rusticity. It will need several years cellaring but is a thrilling wine in the making.
