A red burgundy from the celebrated Domaine Leroy, the 2001 release was reviewed by the critic Allen Meadow as follows, "Superb elegance here for a villages level Pommard, especially for one that is not even particularly well placed. Subdued aromas of earth and grilled nuts followed by very fresh, round, almost tender flavors with a sweet, very sappy finish and supported by ripe, well integrated tannins. Outstanding quality for its level."
