Dominio de Pingus was founded in 1995 by Danish winemaker, Peter Sisseck. With incredibly small production of extremely old-vine Tempranillo, he is one of the most acclaimed producers in the Ribera del Duero region and has a global reputation for thoroughly modern, highly characterful and long-lived wines. 2001 was a low-yielding vintage but produced wines of superb concentration and overall balance. This is wonderfully hedonistic release that is in its prime drinking window.
