Peter Michael Mon Plaisir Chardonnay Magnum 2017

Peter Michael Winery was established in 1983 and Mon Plaisir is the original Chardonnay bottling, produced in every vintage since 1987. Though the fruit source has changed over the years, it now uses fully estate-grown fruit from the Mon Plaisir Vineyard in the Knights Valley AVA, in Sonoma County. The 2017 is a wonderful release with exquisite notes of candied citrus, lemon tart, greengage and flinty minerality. It is rich, full-bodied and creamy, culminating in a long, lingering finish laced with subtle hints of almond, stem ginger and honey.
