Peter Michael Les Pavots 1995

Les Pavots is the unapologetically Bordeaux-styled Cabernet Sauvignon-driven blend from legendary producer, Peter Michael Winery. The 1995 is a deliciously mature wine with a wonderful bouquet of baked black fruits, rolling tobacco, dried flowers and liquorice. Now at its peak for drinking, this medium-bodied beauty has tannins that are now finely integrated to give a beautifully caressing texture though ample acidity to provide lift and vitality. Perhaps not as bold and intense as the 1994 or 1996, this offers a delightfully elegant counterpoint in a fine trilogy of vintages.
