Peter Michael Belle Cote Chardonnay Magnum 2017

Peter Michael Winery was established in 1983 and has garnered a significant reputation for its production of world-class terroir-driven Chardonnay. The grapes for Belle Côte are grown at in the Knights Valley AVA at 1,700 and 1,800ft above sea level. This extra elevation in combination with a more sheltered site results in slower ripening and a broader, fatter style of Chardonnay. The 2017 is an extraordinarily detailed, yet highly drinkable, wine with delicious notes of tropical fruits, lime zest, nougat and rose petals. Though weighty and creamy, it is utterly seamless with perky acidity and light minerality providing levity throughout.
