Pensees de Lafleur 600cl 2010

Château Lafleur is undoubtedly one of the most highly prized estates in Pomerol. Pensées de Lafleur is not a “second wine” but is treated as an entirely separate cuvée that offers a different expression of their estate, with the grapes always coming from the same distinctive 0.8-hectare parcel of vines that runs almost diagonally through the Lafleur vineyards. From the superb 2010 vintage, this is a beautifully aromatic and detailed wine made from 65% Merlot and 35% Cabernet Franc. Though ready to drink, this should have at least another 10 years of potential cellaring.
