2001 is one of the few bottlings of Penfold`s Grange that is made from 100% Shiraz. Aged for 17 months in 100% new American oak, this is arguably one of the finest releases of Grange for many decades. Intense, concentrated and bursting with red and black fruit, graphite, earthy truffle and restrained spice, this is a beautiful, multi-layered, balanced red wine that stands shoulder to shoudler with the very finest examples from the Northern Rhone.
