Palmentino Vino di Anna 2016

Vino di Anna is the partnership between Australian oenologist Anna Martens and her French husband Eric Narioo. Together they established this boutique Sicilian winery in 2010 making a range of natural wines. 2016 was the very first vintage of Palmentino Rosso, a blend of organically grown Nerello Mascalese grapes (95%), plus Nerello Cappuccio, Alicante and a couple of white grape varieties. The result is a medium-bodied wine, vibrant in colour and with attractive aromas of strawberries and dark cherries. On the palate, there are notes of sweet tomatoes, olives and dry strawberries.
