Nuits St Georges 1er Cru Vieilles Vignes Prieure-Roch 2017

Prieuré Roch Nuits-St-Georges 1er Cru Vieilles Vignes 2017 is a medium-bodied Burgundy red wine from Premier Cru vineyard parcels within the Nuits-St-Georges commune of the Côte de Nuits. With headquarters in Prémeaux-Prissey, Domaine Prieuré Roch was formed in 1988 by Henry-Frédéric Roch. Henry, who sadly passed away in 2018, was the nephew of Lalou-Bize Leroy and also the co-director – alongside Aubert de Villaine – of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti from 1992 until his untimely death. Today, the estate covers approximately 16 hectares of vines – of which 12 are in the Côte de Nuits. This 2017 bottling is from younger vines (still above 50 years old) in the 1er Cru monopole of Clos des Corvées.
