Noemia 2017

Bodega Noemia is owned and operated by Hans Vinding Diers and his wife, working seven hectares of organically certified vines in Mainqué, in the Rio Negro region of Patagonia, southern Argentina. Noemia is pure Malbec from a single plot of vines planted in 1932 and the 2017 was wild yeast fermented with maturation in first and second use oak demi-muids for 23 months. This is a beautifully pure and elegant expression of the variety, with incredible depth of fruit and floral prettiness. Perhaps a little young to be consumed just yet, this should be excellent in 2-3 years’ time.
